YULIA PASHEVKINA

FOUNDER

KARVE is the creation of Founder Yulia Pashevkina’s fitness and wellbeing journey. Spending years in search of a workout that would exercise both the body and the mind, she developed an innovative method of training that combines rigorous machine-based Pilates with mindfulness and breath work techniques. The pioneering combination of these two elements forms the basis of her transformer Pilates workout.

Inspired by the driven, motivated and fun attitude of the New York fitness scene, Yulia became an avid fan of machine-based Pilates that quickly helped her gain the results she sought without resulting in injury or joint pain she previously had experienced during other physical training. Simultaneously boosting her heart rate, endorphin levels and metabolism, these spring-based workouts ignited the motivation for her to establish a holistic workout that was adapted to London lifestyles.

By teaming high intensity and low impact strength-based training with mindfulness, her methods help to ‘karve’ and transform the body through the mind. Building strong bodies and resilient minds, these transformer Pilates classes are designed to leave each person who steps out of the KARVE studio feeling like they have experienced a thorough workout, whilst feeling mindfully at peace.

Today Yulia’s universal passion for fitness and wellbeing continues to evolve. In addition to establishing transformer Pilates and being the face of KARVE, she is also studying integrative nutrition and has a keen passion for astrology and how this inherently feeds into individual wellbeing.

CRAIG WATERS
HEAD TRAINER

Passionately empowering people through fitness, our Head Trainer Craig started his fitness journey in 2012 at Power Yoga Studio in Washington DC. In addition to teaching yoga classes as a side hustle to his corporate job, Craig soon began to delve deeper into the industry teaching as a full-time instructor at a Pilates inspired boutique studio before moving to London in 2017.

Craig is a firm believer in mind over matter when it comes to tackling a challenge. Working closely with clients, he encourages them to leave any personal doubt at the door, shining a spotlight on the importance of mindset and how this determines the outcome. Revolving his classes around this ingenious method that can also be applied to the outside world, clients learn the secret to setting and sticking to personal goals.

An avid fan of trying out new boutique fitness studios and workout methods, Craig is thrilled to bring his energy and passion to KARVE. Behind his friendly smile is a competitive individual who is set and ready to challenge you to test your limits and explore the unknown.
